How does it work?
- Connect Xero. Log in to Xero and approve read-only access. You come back to SydneyCollect signed in, with no password and no email link.
- Pick the overdue invoices. We list your sales invoices that are past their due date, with the debtor, how many days overdue and the amount still owing.
- Check the letter. We fill in your business, the debtor and the amount owed, and attach the invoice. You add anything Xero doesn't have, usually the debtor's mobile, and check every detail.
- Pay and send. $29 per letter. It goes to your debtor today, on our letterhead.
- We watch the invoice. When Xero shows it paid, part paid or cancelled, we stop the reminders and email you to confirm.
What do we read from Xero?
| What we read | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Overdue sales invoices | The amount still owing, the invoice number, the due date and the invoice PDF for the letter |
| Contacts | The debtor's name, email, mobile, address and ABN |
| Organisation settings | Your business name, ABN and phone, and your bank account when Xero has exactly one |
Read only. We can't create, edit or delete anything in your Xero. We keep only the invoices you send letters for, with those letters, and we never use your Xero data to train AI.
Which debtors can you send to?
Debtors in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT. Invoices to debtors in WA, SA, Tasmania or the NT still show in the list, marked as ones we can't send. We aren't licensed to collect debts there, and our free letter of demand generator lets you send one yourself.
What does it cost?
Connecting Xero is free. Each letter is $29, the same as a letter you type in. With Collect+ we keep following up by email and text for a month, for $29 plus 10% of what your debtor pays.
How do I disconnect?
Open your dashboard, go to Account, and press Disconnect beside your organisation. You can also remove SydneyCollect from Xero's own list of connected apps. Letters you've already sent carry on, but we won't see in Xero when they're paid.
